What I love about being over 40 is the depth of my life experiences and the clarity they've brought me. I’ve navigated various challenges, which have not only shaped my character but also equipped me to inspire and motivate the younger generation. I cherish my strong support group, built through years of meaningful connections. This network provides encouragement and wisdom that we can share with each other. It’s incredibly fulfilling to guide younger individuals by sharing my journey.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by continuously working on myself and embracing a journey of self-empowerment. For much of my life, I tied my self-worth to external validation—what others thought of me and my accomplishments. This perspective kept me in a cycle of seeking approval rather than recognizing my intrinsic value. As I explored my identity, I began detaching my worth from these external influences. I realized that my value isn’t defined by others' opinions but by who I am at my core.
What would you do with the $40,000?I envision opening a women-centered, holistic wellness facility—a gym led by female trainers that provides traction weight training, fitness classes, and emotional intelligence sessions. The center would also offer career coaching and resources to support members in discovering their true selves. Monthly social gatherings would create a thriving network of empowered women, fostering community and growth.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
