What I love about being over 40 years of age is having the self-confidence and wisdom I didn’t have when I was younger. The lessons I have learned throughout my life journey have taught me to worry less, trust in the Universe, and love myself. When I was younger I focused on status and competition. This did not fulfill me, in fact, it drained me and lead to severe burnout. I realized the things that were important were my kids, family, and my health. Being over 40 is pure freedom.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay absolutely fabulous, (Love the show), starting my day with gratitude. When my day starts with appreciation I can remain emotionally resilient and calm. I am also very conscious about my wellness. I eat a healthy macros balanced diet, I don't drink alcohol, love my coffee, lift weights, dance in the kitchen, and enjoy concerts and laughing with my boyfriend.
What would you do with the $40,000?In April, my corporate position, along with my fitness classes were eliminated. My dog died and my other dog had to undergo surgery. My unemployment recently ran out and I have had to dip into my saving. When you are 40 plus years old it is more challenging to get your dream job, especially when you took time off to raise kids. I would replenish my savings, pay for my son's pilot school and invest in my health coaching business so I can help women who are 40 plus heal and find answers.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
