I love that I reached the age of 40. When I was diagnosed with cancer at 37, I didn’t know if I would make it to this milestone. I love the freedom that comes with being 40. I feel like I know who I am and I genuinely love who I am. I no longer try to conform to what the world “expects” of me, but I am 100% my true authentic self. I stand up for what I believe in and am not afraid to speak my mind.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by prioritizing my family and health. My family is my world and I will do absolutely anything for them. I also believe in walking and lifting weights as well as adding fun activities such as pilates into my routine. This keeps me active and feeling young and vibrant. Self care is also important and I practice this by prioritizing time with Jesus daily. I also have a strong skin care routine that helps me take on whatever the day may bring.
What would you do with the $40,000?The first thing I would do is pamper and spoil my kids with a fun trip, something we have cut back on as a family since my cancer journey started and I was forced to stop working. I also constantly worry about not being here for them for key milestones, like when they start driving, so I would start a fund now to save for their first car and take that pressure off my husband who works so hard to save for everything else we need.
