I love the knowledge and freedom I have at this age. I have been through a lot and learned a lot. It’s corny to say, but 40 feels like my new 20. After losing weight I feel young again and love that most people won’t guess my age correctly by looking at me. My kids are old enough for us to be best buds and travel together. I don’t have to worry about a baby sitter.
How do you stay fabulous?I try to stay active! I love to hike and get out in nature. Chasing waterfalls has become a passion. So many beautiful places to explore. I take time out for myself on the weekends since I work roughly 65 hours a week. I like to listen to music, paint, draw or travel. The beach, lake, river, or waterfalls are great outdoor places where I can ground myself, reconnect, relax, and enjoy the beauty around me.
What would you do with the $40,000?I have medical debt that I need to pay off, and a lot around my house that needs repair. Anything left over would go into a savings account to help my children and for emergency purposes. Of course, a little will go towards shopping and buying some necessities for myself. I can’t pour from an empty cup that’s one life lesson that took me a long time to learn. Working 65 hours a week for a nonprofit and as a registered behavior technician, and I still struggle, so this would be a blessing!
