I wrote FABULOUSLY GHETTO to regain my mental health after son’s death in 2011. My daughter (30) has breast cancer that’s a new defeat.
We would like to thank you for supporting Theressa in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
At 35, I was diagnosed with Uterine cancer and was given 8 months to live. I SURVIVED. That scare put fire & determination under me. I was given a second chance at life. Depression is a mental illness that people don’t recognize. I want to share my experiences and make others aware. My mother died in my arms at age 48. I was afraid to turn 48, fact that I am 58 with no major health issues and my mental health under control makes me sing GLORY TO GOD!!!
How do you stay fabulous?I eat healthy, I stay busy by dancing around my house when I clean. I listen to live blues every Tuesday and I socialize periodically with friends and family.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would take my daughter and grandchildren to Disney World, although their mom has breast cancer I am PROUD of how they are handling it. She’s weak after chemotherapy and can’t do things with them. I KNOW when her journey is over they would appreciate a FUN & EXCITING adventure with their mom. I will also pay off my credit cards. I start my cleaning business back up PERMANENTLY.
