Connect What do you love about being over 40?

My 40s are marked with authenticity and gratitude! During this decade, I have the energy and vitality I experienced during my 20s and 30s while having grown to love and embrace myself in ways I couldn’t imagine 10 years ago. In this decade, I have the courage to pursue my ambitions and dreams without fear of judgment, the humility to continue personal growth and to be of service to others, and hopefully the grace to allow both the victories and hardships change me for the better.

How do you stay fabulous?

When I think of the word fabulous, I think of extraordinary. Living an extraordinary life, I believe, is about mindfulness and appreciation for the incredible opportunity we have to participate in this experience of life. Using my talents to serve others (both in work and volunteering); investing in meaningful, authentic relationships; and taking care of myself physically and mentally (through yoga and nutrition) keeps me in a state of gratitude. The small things are what keep life fabulous!

What would you do with the $40,000?

One of my passions is volunteering with organizations that support women and children healing from domestic violence. These courageous women have made incredibly difficult choices to leave unhealthy situations and pursue happier, healthier lives. Unfortunately, sometimes those previous lives come with scars that are visible on the outside in addition to those inside. One of my primary uses of the $40,000 would be to cover the cost of reconstructive surgery for one of these women or children.
