What do you love about being over 40?

Life has given me the experience and empathy to help others, to try new things, and to be fully secure with who I am. I am in the process of taking an education advocacy group I founded 10 years ago and turning it into a nonprofit to provide free family advocates to assist families on free and reduced lunch. And I know this will help out students to grow and help my community to be the best place it can be.

How do you stay fabulous?

I'm an Arbonne independent consultant, and I love all the nutrition, protein shakes, green and skincare. These products are my one splurge, but my skin looks amazing and I feel so much better. I also focus on gratitude and self-care, and work on being grounded so I can take whatever life throws at me.

What would you do with the $40,000?

I would use the money to start my nonprofit so I can start helping more students and families in my county. I want every student to get the best education and help families of students with disabilities get the best education plans so their students is able to succeed and get the support they need. I also would use a tiny bit to help replace my car that was totaled during Hurricane Helene when a tree fell on it. But mostly I would use the funds to establish my dream...a nonprofit.
