I’m a breast cancer survivor, whose career has peaked after learning the lessons cancer treats you. My family always comes first.
We would like to thank you for supporting Tamara Castadot in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
I love the acceptance that comes with life experience. I've learned to accept and acknowledge my strengths as well as be open enough to be accountable for my mistakes. Every day is a gift, and I make a choice to "be where my feet are" as much as possible. I learned it's ok to stand in my convictions and for my voice to be heard, and my feelings to be protected. I'm proud to have a family that loves being together, and goes the extra mile to care for one another.
How do you stay fabulous?Well, I think it starts with the continuous mantra of "you are enough" and to realize I'm always doing the best I can. Makeup and a good hair stylist don't hurt either. Nor does having two daughters in their twenties and a teenage son to keep you humbled and fashionable lol. My career keeps my intellectual curiosity fulfilled and consistently pushes out of my comfort zone. I'm blessed to experience a lot of unique experiences through work.
What would you do with the $40,000?My inner voice says I would devote some of that to some self-care I normally wouldn't be able to spend the money on. I would also like to plan a trip of a lifetime with my immediate family. I've experienced a lot of loss in the last 4 years, the death of my brother, the caretaking and subsequent loss of my Mother and I now split my time between caring for my elderly Father, working in NYC, being me, a wife and a Mom...I'm a little tired. The family trip we keep postponing would be amazing!!
