Tali Louis

I'm a mom of 2 teenagers, trying to do it all with sports, school, and work, and still making time to enjoy life and all it has to offer.

What do you love about being over 40?

At 40, many of those insecurities fade away. You worry less about what others think and more about enjoying life. I like to surprise people, remind them that age doesn't define you, and not to discount me on anything because I'll always prove you wrong. It's nice to surprise someone and have them say, "You are how old?". I hope they see it as aspiring not to let a number define you and that your dreams and plans for life don't have to be forgotten because you are at a certain age.

How do you stay fabulous?

I take time for myself. It is the most important thing for my mental health. It gets me in the right head space to be the best version of myself for the people around me. I make sure to get some cardio in the morning, a few barre classes during the week. I do my best to eat cleanly to feel my best. My teen daughter brought me back into skincare, and I try to prioritize that. It's not about meeting any beauty or physical standards but more about feeling good about myself.

What would you do with the $40,000?

I have two kids heading off to college in a few years. It would be nice to put money towards their education, maybe lessen my stress about what their future will look like in adulthood, and start planning for what my husband and I will do in our empty nester years.
