I had my son when I was 16 and refused to become a statistic. Graduated and became A teacher until I fell in love with comedy.

What do you love about being over 40?

The experience of life.. and using it to guide my children, to connect with my parents, elders. Being a grandmother and FINDING ME. And looking good while doing it.

How do you stay fabulous?

3 years ago my ex husband suddenly passed.. leaving me with our 7 year old daughter. That experience humbled me. It showed me to live life to the fullest because God chooses when it’s time .. not us. It taught me to enjoy life and share my talents with others. I am a standup comedian and I’d like to think I’m doing my part at healing the world… through laughter. My comedy is relatable and fun. I’m always surprised when people tell me how healing my comedy is for them. That’s the goal!!

What would you do with the $40,000?

When my ex husband passed a few years ago we were all devastated. I needed help. His parents stepped in tremendously to help raise our daughter. I could never thank them enough. It really does take a village. Both are retired. If I win I would donate 20k to her grandparents.. just to say thank you. The rest will go To my oldest daughter’s college fund. She is in her sophomore year and I am currently paying out-of-pocket..
