I’m a survivor! You can see in my photos I’m currently fighting the good fight medically but I believe anything is possible with Jesus.

I’m learning to give myself more grace and I’ve been inspired to begin giving back & helping others even more as much as I can. So, I plan to volunteer at my local pet shelters when healthy. Both my maternal and paternal grandmothers were diagnosed with breast cancer so I know the everyday battles they had to fight against this ugly disease. While I’m fighting an autoimmune disease, I try to exemplify the strength & beauty of my grandmothers everyday with love.
How do you stay fabulous?First and foremost, I always make time for God because I am nothing without him. Then, I focus on the characteristics I love about myself & try to get better in the areas I have the power to improve. I’ve been a high school IB/Honors Mathematics teacher for the past 16.5 years until I became disabled in 2022 & I miss teaching so much. Being around teenagers, allows you to stay young & I love being able to inspire & shape the minds of our future generations.
What would you do with the $40,000?Since I haven’t been able to work for the past two years, first I would pay my tithe, then I would use some of the money to pay off some debt that has accumulated due to my disability, & last but not least, I’d contribute some to my local pet shelters. I feel God blessed me with two gifts: the ability to teach & connect with students and the ability to connect with animals in a special way. My love for animals began at a young age as I’ve always had a pet, cat or dog most of my life.
