Making sure to have balance in life between a demanding career, being a present mom of two, and focusing on staying fit and healthy.

When you hit 40, you think to yourself, wow, now what? What used to seem so old, now is so young, so empowered, and so strong. What I love about being 43 years old is that I feel like I have lived a great last two decades of adulthood where I experienced some of life's greatest miracles, and now I can focus on being a role model for those younger women, and for my two children, as I teach them to be strong and confident.
How do you stay fabulous? It's easy to get caught up in the hustle of life being over 40. As a busy mom, there is sometimes little time for self-care. It's so important for women to take time for themselves to stay mentally and physically strong and happy. I make sure to dedicate "me" time each day for fitness, I make sure my family and I are eating clean food, and I make sure that no matter what the day brings me, that I always smile.
What would you do with the $40,000?I was blindsided this year with a cancer diagnosis. In March of 2024, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, which came as a complete shock to me and my family. I would take the $40k and apply the funds to advocate for clean food in our schools as our children deserve this. I believe that the start to healthy children starts with diet. We as a nation need to focus on providing clean, organic, non-processed foods for our children in schools, and this $40k will help kick-off my mission.
