What I love about being over 40 is the clarity that comes with understanding life’s impermanence. I’ve learned to release what doesn’t serve me and cherish moments as they are, not as I wish them to be. Relationships are richer, dreams more intentional, and I feel at peace with my evolving self. Life is a continuous unfolding, and the beauty lies in knowing that growth, joy, and meaning are still within reach, no matter the stage.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by embracing life as a journey, not a destination. During the pandemic, I returned to school and completed my master’s in clinical mental health, reminding myself that purpose evolves with time. Biking reconnects me with the present moment, and my grandchildren remind me of the cyclical nature of life. Staying curious, caring for myself, and finding joy in change allows me to navigate life’s uncertainties with grace and fulfillment.
What would you do with the $40,000?If I had $40K, I’d use it to pay off the student loans I took on to pursue my dream. During the pandemic, I pivoted from education to mental health, following my passions. While the transition brought new purpose, it also created debt I didn’t have before. Clearing that burden would give me the freedom to fully focus on my new career and the meaningful work I’m excited to do.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
