At 50, I have the perspective to appreciate the life with which I’ve been blessed. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 35, I didn’t know if I’d see 50. Now, I know that every day is a blessing, and I want to use the time I’ve been given to live life to the fullest! I love that I get the opportunity to help kids every day as a school counselor. And with the support of my friends and family, I can write fiction that, no matter how hard life gets, gives readers a happily ever after.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by making the best choices I can. I’m blessed to have a supportive family and amazing friends who encourage me to persist, even when things get difficult. Yet, so many areas of my life keep me fabulous. I pray every day, and I have a trusted mentor. I work out 4-5 days a week, and I give back whenever I get the chance. Yet, what really keeps me fabulous is taking nothing I’ve been given for granted! Life is precious!
What would you do with the $40,000?As a school counselor, I would think of my students first. So many of them don’t have the financial means to go to college, yet I know how a college degree can change a life as it did for me. I would like to establish a scholarship for those students to attend college.
