My drive to help others with compassion and empathy makes me fabulous (and I've earned every year over 40)!
We would like to thank you for supporting Sheri Mathis in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
Being over 40 has allowed me to give myself and others grace. Everyone has faced something in their life that has either broken them or built them up. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, I was forced to be resilient, but was also given the gift of greater compassion and empathy for others. My experiences have allowed me to grow, and have inspired me to help others. What could be more fabulous?
How do you stay fabulous?Continuing to learn and be engaged helps me stay fabulous. Getting out there with friends and family, pushing myself out of my comfort zone--that keeps me fabulous!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would donate half of the money to the Mammogram Poster Girls, an organization founded to provide mammograms for those unable to afford them. This organization is near and dear to my heart. With the other half of the $40,000 I would take my entire family on a vacation to celebrate. Nothing is better than creating memories with my family.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
