My name is Shelley and I’m about to turn 61. I’m a mom, wife and grandma of 3. I’m also a teacher, an artist and fitness enthusiast.

I love that my kids are grown and killing it. This allows me time to do “me”. This past year, I got my first painting accepted in a juried art show, ran a half marathon and began playing the piano. My husband and I are always planning our next trip, there is so much to explore in this world , my only regret is that there isn’t more time to explore more of it. The best part of being my age is the fact that I’m 9 months to retirement. My life has been very blessed and I thank the good Lord daily.
How do you stay fabulous?It’s difficult to feel fabulous if you don’t feel healthy. Daily exercise is crucial . My dad always said “just keep moving”. It’s also important to feel good mentally. My daily morning prayer time gives me the mindset needed to face my daily challenges. Lastly, I have an inquiring mind and love learning. I also love doing online puzzles such as Wordle. I haven’t lost one yet!
What would you do with the $40,000?The first 10 percent always goes to the Lord. I believe because I am blessed, it’s my obligation to bless others. I would also travel of course and give my grandkids the best Christmas ever.
