Not having the urge to impress others. As we mature, we learn how to appreciate our strengths while working on our weaknesses. Although we still face some insecurities, our lessons serve as a mind written records of struggles we have overcome, reminding us that we can do it again and even better and that, even if we still want people to like us and to be accepted, the need for constant reassurance is no longer a prime concern.
How do you stay fabulous?One of the biggest challenges of our era is to create balance in the different spheres of our lives. Learning how to manage my time to develop my career as a scientist, while taking some time to workout, cooking some healthy meals and reading to improve my intelect makes me feel in control of my life. Besides that, dancing is something that keeps me alive, overcoming the challenges of new choreography, makes me empowered and being transported to another dimension.
What would you do with the $40,000?Since I moved from Brazil to the U.S. I have been investing my savings on lawyers and the process to obtain a green card. Because of that, I still don't have a car. Back home I also have my mother who needs some medical assistance and for whom I regularly send some money. With 40,000, I would be able to buy my car and help my family and give some extra support to my mother in Brazil.
