At 51, I feel healthier and stronger than ever, with a confidence that only comes from truly living.I broke boundaries in snowboarding by creating the first women’s-specific products and becoming snowboarding’s 1st American Olympic medalist.Now, I’m redefining what it means to be fabulously fierce with age. Recently,I competed in a pro snowboard contest with riders in their 20s and won one of two awards! I’m pushing myself, staying active,and loving the ride. Let’s be fabulous in our unique ways
How do you stay fabulous?Being fabulous means staying healthy in mind, body, and soul while lifting others up. As a co-founder of Boarding for Breast Cancer, a nonprofit I’ve supported for 28 years, giving back is at the heart of my life. I focus on building up family, friends, and community, grounding myself in those connections. I live for outdoor moments, breathing in all God created, sharing laughter with loved ones, and learning along the way. It’s all about connection, joy, purpose, and making a meaningful impact.
What would you do with the $40,000?I'd split it a few ways. First, I'd save a portion for my kids' college tuition to help them get a good start. Then, as a co-founder of Boarding for Breast Cancer, I'd donate to support our mission of educating young people about breast health—something I’m super passionate about. And finally, I'd invest in a new snowmobile since ours blew up last year. It’s our ticket to backcountry powder days, which not only fuels my passion for snowboarding but also creates incredible family memories.
