My relationships with friends and family are deeper with stronger bonds and connections. I have a much better understanding of myself and more self confidence. Post-cancer treatment I have a greater appreciation for the life I live and simple pleasures.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by prioritizing self-care, making time for activities that nourish my mind, body and soul. Regular physical activity (powerlifting aka dragon boating) helps to maintain my strength, fitness and energy levels. I also do my best to stay positive and be a spokesperson for choices in breast cancer surgery. I “ celebrated” the one year anniversary of my diagnosis by competing in my first powerlifting meet.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would use some of the winnings to renovate our kitchen, put some towards retirement and make a donation to our local breast health centre.
