The first year of my 40s was full of travel, physical fitness, prioritizing my kids and my entrepreneurial mindset.
We would like to thank you for supporting Sarah Filipiak in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
It’s only been a year, but it’s true what they say about once you hit 40 things that are not for you… You release, quickly. I’ve let go of so many toxic relationships… Friendships that have been unhealthy for years and truly value the things that are important… Like my Health, my kids, and our relationship, and building a legacy for them. I’ve also traveled the most that I’ve ever traveled this year! It’s been amazing!
How do you stay fabulous?I try to stay focused on my holistic health. Make sure that I’m doing “exercises” for my brain and my emotional health. Daily affirmations to remind myself that I can do anything I put my mind to and making physical fitness/nutrition a top priority in my life… but make sure to have some fun every so often! Love the theatre, live music, hiking and experiencing these with my 2 awesome teenagers!
What would you do with the $40,000?My business partner and I are in the last stages of opening a holistic wellness center and if I made $40,000 I would take that money and pump it right into our business to continue to add value to the business itself and to our clients holistic journeys. I have been in the medical field for 15 years, and I’ve seen the toll it takes when you do not prioritize your health in every aspect. I want to save as many people as I can from living in a hospital or skilled nursing facility.
