I am a loving mom to 2 amazing boys, a crisis clinician with a passion to help others, and I love roadtripping with my amazing man.
We would like to thank you for supporting Rue Matthews in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
The best part is being established in my career. As a Crisis Clinician, I work with individuals who are suicidal, homicidal, or are having other mental health crisis. I have both an education and experience that allows me to quickly build rapport with my clients and help direct them in a hopefully life changing direction. I have the opportunity to conduct community outreach and education on suicide prevention and connecting people with appropriate resources to save lives.
How do you stay fabulous?Self-care is very important to me. I have learned throughout my life that if I don’t take care of myself first, I’m not helpful to others. I enjoy going to the gym, going to the salon, reading, and football. My finance and both of my boys are big into football so much of my weekends are taken over. lol
What would you do with the $40,000?I would pay off my debt so I can open up my own practice to not only better my family life but help support the community.
