My optimism, joie de vivre, and the wisdom that comes with being over 40, led me to embrace myself and my age, and that has made me fabulous

Being over 40 has given me the clarity and confidence to embrace life. I am proud of my accomplishments and life choices. I have experienced love, joy, and sadness, all of which taught me to enjoy each day and to be grateful for the things I have. And a cold beer at the end of the day doesn’t hurt! I have reached a time in my life that I love, the children grown, where my husband and I can enjoy the life we’ve created for ourselves and pass the wisdom from our experiences on to our four children
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by living my life with optimism and purpose-don't be bitter, it leads to Botox! I look for the beauty around me and surround myself with people I love. Exercise keeps me fit and energized. I’m not trying to look young; I’m trying to feel great. Music, especially Prince, lifts my spirits and makes me want to dance! Travel and learning keep me inspired. I am happy about every moment I have on this earth. Finally, I try to keep a good attitude, even if it comes off a bit sassy.
What would you do with the $40,000?There are so many things I could do with $40,000! I am smart about money, so research and thoughtful consideration is a prerequisite before I invest it. The money could payoff the student loans my son has at Duke Medical School, or my daughter has at Notre Dame Law. I have a third child shopping for a house, and a fourth just starting his career. While I don’t need a facelift, I have an older house that could use some cosmetic repairs. Perhaps a vacation? Wherever I spend it, it’ll be fabulous!
