The gift of aging is wisdom and when we’ve had decades of life experience we begin to understand what is truly important and what is worth letting go. We also find our voice and begin using it, not just to speak up for ourselves but for causes we believe in. Wisdom of aging has shown me that we can be the change we want to see in our life and the world.
How do you stay fabulous?At 61, fashion is optional, style is not. I ignore the trends and focus on my unique style. A great outfit can make my day. As a yoga teacher and runner, exercise and eating well has been a constant but it’s my twice daily Vedic meditation that has made all the difference in my life. Beauty and fabulousness starts on the inside and grounding myself in mindfulness each morning and night has done more for me than running a 10k ever did. What would you do with the $40,000?Help with easing the financial burden of medical expenses associated with my son needing a kidney transplant from an autoimmune disease that destroyed his kidneys. To take him on a celebratory trip after the transplant. And to advocate for much needed fixes to insurance policy that requires endless amounts of energy that should be used for the patient rather than fighting for every authorization. Healthcare is a right and should be guaranteed for all.
