At 78, I am proud of the life I created and honored by the friends who embrace me. I am confident in myself, in what I have accomplished in business, and in how I look today. I am flattered that people value my opinion and young women ask me to mentor them. Love wearing vintage fashion from my own collection. It fits! I treasure my family but savor alone time in my home which is my sanctuary. Wiser now, still a dreamer but rooted in common sense. Who knew I would love being 78?
How do you stay fabulous?Recipe for staying fabulous: Be present in every conversation. Listen. Look people in the eye. Be gracious, kind, respectful, patient and polite. Dress appropriately for the occasion. Lead with compassion. Avoid gossip. Be generous and tolerant. Humility, honesty and integrity. Positivity and moderation. Keep your commitments. Stand straight. Slow down, breathe, limit stress. Develop a good skin care routine. Put the phone away, eat healthy, exercise, limit alcohol. SMILE!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would donate to National Breast Cancer Foundation because so many women suffer the heartbreak of this ravaging disease. I would visit Italy's breathtaking Amalfi Coast again. The gardens at my family home gift me with great beauty and serenity plus they attract the heartbeat of birds, butterflies, squirrels and ancestors of the deer who preceded me on this land, so I would create more glorious gardens - Rose, Hydrangea and tropical - to honor my wonderful parents who I miss every single day.
