I’m 42, an educator and mother of 3. I try to stay present in each moment and enjoy life as it comes.
We would like to thank you for supporting Rebekah Naughton in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
I’ve lived and I’ve learned. I don’t worry about being anything other than authentically myself and I don’t apologize for it. I also feel like I can explore interests and hobbies that I may not have had the courage or motivation to explore in my twenties and thirties. As an empath, I feel like 40 was a transformative year and I feel very self aware and comfortable in my skin.
How do you stay fabulous?About four years ago I was having major health issues due to a tumor on my adrenal gland. I had a left adrenalectomy and spent the following four years learning how my body functioned again. It was a learning curve and there were times I didn’t think I’d ever feel healthy again. After a long battle I’ve finally come out of the other end and I’ve realized how precious each moment of healthy living is and I cherish every moment life throws at me….the good, the bad and the in between.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would use it for three main things: 1. Financial stability:paying off my last bit of debt. 2. My horse farm, projects to get me to a place where I can provide some summer support to kids with behavioral needs and adults with PTSD. 3. Make a special memory with my family (a trip together) because memories with people you love are more valuable than any material possessions.
