Being a woman over 40 is an empowering experience that has brought me clarity, confidence, and a deep sense of self-worth. In my 20s and 30s, I spent a lot of time figuring out who I was and what I wanted out of life. There were insecurities, pressures to conform, and a constant sense of trying to measure up. But now, over 40, I have stepped into a season where I no longer need to prove myself to anyone. I’ve learned to embrace all that I am and celebrate my unique journey.
How do you stay fabulous?I’ve also learned the importance of self-care and balance. In my younger years, I often put myself last, trying to juggle all of life’s demands—family, career, relationships—without considering my own well-being. Now, I make it a priority to nourish my body, mind, and spirit. Whether it’s taking a quiet moment to meditate, indulging in a hobby, or just spending time with people who lift me up, I’ve realized that self-care is not selfish; it’s necessary.
What would you do with the $40,000?I found my soul mate after 40, God has given us a vision to start a ministry to help the homeless and people who suffered an addiction. We have a heart for people helping them find themselves again and live a life of purpose. I would also invest in my two daughters business called Altered Skin Lab & Spa here in Atlanta to expand their current business location. Self-care is a big thing for us!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
