A woman of color, I have finally found the confidence to be unapologetically me. I no longer aim to fit in. I live life on my own terms not by society’s standards. At 40+, I have newfound appreciation for who i have become and I’m proud of my journey from a tiny island off the coast of Africa to Beverly Hills. I believe there is no such thing as perfection! Beauty is about being authentic to oneself! I am perfectly imperfect, beautifully flawed, and I feel fabulous.
How do you stay fabulous?I train regularly to stay in shape; I take care of my skin religiously. And I strive to keep a good balance between being an active mom and having fun. More importantly I choose to preserve my energy and avoid toxic, negative people. I surround myself with women who inspire me. It keeps me fabulous mentally and physically!
What would you do with the $40,000?I am launching a podcast series, spotlighting unapologetically fabulous and authentic women who are using their power of influence to make a positive difference in their community. Philanthropy matters to me. I would use the money to help organizations that focus on helping women and children.
