The gift of sharing life with those I love. Being 40+ means I get to see life through my kids' lens and learn from my parents as they navigate age and continual human growth. My youngest sister was tragically killed in car crash at 42, I looked forward to aging with her and my older sister-telling stories, sharing wisdom and even making mistakes in love and marriage. Each day is a gift of the present. Being over 40 means learn I appreciate time and relationships more than I once did in my youth.
How do you stay fabulous?Fabulous is a mindset that I work on everyday. I walk a lot so that I can learn to listen to my own voice and know its worth. Sharing time and meaningful conversation with people who value time and meaningful conversation makes life seem fabulous to me. When you shine with contentment, nothing blurs that fab-ness.
What would you do with the $40,000?As a newly single mom I would use it towards building stability for me and my youngest daughter. Invest in my future. As a daughter of aging parents, my dad with Alzheimer's and my mom his carer, I would use it to take trips to help them regularly. As a sister, and after just losing my youngest sister, I would take a trip to visit my older sister. People, and our stories with them, also an investment. Money, I will never let its gift, or lack there of, define me.
