The shift from being career and child focused has provided the space for my personal growth and allowed me to become the person I want to be, rather than the person I felt I had to be or was supposed to be.
How do you stay fabulous?Lots of reading!!! Learning to shift the thoughts in my head and pivot from blindly following patterns that don’t serve me. I make a concerted effort to be kind to everyone I encounter. To show up for others and surround myself with fabulous people who show up for me. By prioritizing my physical and mental health above all else! Having a gratitude practice and to start each day with positivity.
What would you do with the $40,000?I would use it to further develop my program for families who have a loved one struggling with substance abuse disorder. I have written a journal and have recorded several podcast episodes to help show all sides of addiction and provide options to rid shame, guilt, fear and hopelessness for families. I hope to provide positive resources and options to lessen the pain and trauma of watching a loved one struggle from substance abuse.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
