The best part about being over 40 has been allowing myself to embrace and accept every aspect of my life with grace. My 48 years of life have given me a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world we live in where my choices are no longer informed by fear, and where I can truly and unapologetically be me!
How do you stay fabulous?Being fabulous starts with loving yourself so physical, emotional, and spiritual self-care is key. Family keeps me grounded and surrounding myself with a strong tribe of like-minded and creative friends supports my own creativity. I have a consistent skincare routine that’s more ritual, a healthy diet, and I make time for movement. Writing heals me. Travel humbles me. Motherhood reminds me how magical the world is. I laugh hard, love harder and walk every single day in gratitude.
What would you do with the $40,000?This would give me the opportunity and space to realize the dream of finishing my novel while being able to spend more quality time with my 9 year-old son. With these funds, I would be able to pay off my long-standing student loan debt and extensive dental work allowing me the time needed to go back to Puerto Rico and pore through documents only available on the island which are necessary for my literary work. This gift would make balancing motherhood, work, and writing so much easier.
