I started nursing school at 40 as I was going through a divorce with my boy/girl twins. As a single mom I got my BSN, RN in 2 years!

I love the knowledge I have gained that I didn’t have 10 or 20 years ago. And when I say knowledge I mean knowledge in all things, like love, friendships, finances, parenting, career….all of it!! Life experiences really do shape our understanding in ways that abstract knowledge can’t. Each challenge and relationship teaches us invaluable lessons that contribute to personal growth. It’s amazing how wisdom accumulates over time, enriching our lives and decision making capabilities!!
How do you stay fabulous?I do feel like I have to work harder than I did 10-15 years ago!! But I make sure that despite my busy schedule I still make time to get that mani/pedi or that facial, or to take nightly walks with my daughter. Having a consistent night time routine is the best thing I do for my skin every day and it also helps to get me mentally and physically prepared for the next day. I find I take much better care of my patients if I’m taking care of myself.
What would you do with the $40,000?My initial response of course was….save it!! I have twins that will go to college in a little over 3 years and I would love to get them started on the right track. On the flip side….there is a part of me that would love to take my mom on vacation. She inspires me everyday and since my father passed those moments together mean more than ever.
