I took a leap of faith being single at 42 and used IVF to have a baby. It was meant to be because I have a four year-old daughter!

What I love about being over 40 is the freedom I feel in being completely my authentic self. It has been a journey being confident in my own skin, and I still have many insecurities. But what I love about myself is I have always been 100% genuine. I will never compromise my true self for anyone.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay fabulous by forcing myself to do things out of my comfort zone to chase a dream or accomplish a goal. It’s really scary, but the end result is usually worth it. Being single at 42 was not the plan, but I had to make a hard choice . Settle for someone fast to start a family or do it myself. The fear of all the things that could go wrong was terrifying. However, I couldn’t fathom having any regrets. It was the best and hardest decision I ever made. My daughter keeps me young and fabulous!
What would you do with the $40,000?. When I made the decision to have a child on my own, I knew it meant I would struggle. I’m a teacher , not the best career choice to be financially independent. Childcare would be as much as my mortgage. I had to swallow my pride, take a few steps backwards, sell my house I had for 12 years, and move in with my sister while pregnant. I would love to use the $40,000 to help me and my daughter find our own place, and allow my amazing sister and brother-in-law their quiet life back.
