Challenging the standard of what people think 40 is supposed to look like: predictable, somewhat ridged, drab wardrobe, "Mom-obvious," with a stick-figure family on their window. Imagine your happiness as a pallet of eyeshadow. In your 20's you experimented with all of it, in your 30's you bought nicer brands, & when you hit 40 you started to weed out the unnecessary. You know exactly what makes you happy & what isn't worth the time. Different colors but all uniquely necessary to the individual.
How do you stay fabulous?Mindfulness, purposely setting time aside for my inner peace & growth everyday (before I do anything else) & being in love with learning so I am constantly growing. Never allowing myself to stress over things that are out of my control and sometimes that means forcing myself into the shower. We all experience "ups & downs" but I think it's important to learn how to ask for what you need. If you need motivation you gotta get comfortable telling people that. Mean what you say & say what you mean!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would have so much fun learning to convert a bus into a home so I can travel for a year or two now that my kids are grown. I'd emerse myself in books, see concerts & visit friends around the U.S., ride my motorcycle and work on writing a book!
