Redefining myself at 56 by starting my own skincare studio in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.

While there is doubt that women start to experience changes (that we would love to avoid), time is sometimes your best friend. Over time, you gain experience, perspective, patience and yes, even wisdom, that as a younger woman, you may not have truly appreciated (or listened to). I love that challenges seem less insurmountable, actions of others, less inflammatory or disturbing and my confidence to say "heck yes, I can do this is so much stronger.
How do you stay fabulous?I think my secret, and my advice to others, is to surround yourself with other fabulous people....we really do feed upon and nurture one another. While I certainly indulge here and there, crowding out bad habits and choices with healthier ones really works for me. When I treat my body better, my mind works better. Beyond that, I think it is essential to have a purpose that serves others - my business is my platform to guiding others to healthier, happier lives.
What would you do with the $40,000?There is always a temptation to pay bills and catch up from whatever life has thrown at you (like a devastating hurricane in my case). I would love the means to expand my reach/platform to provide great advice, products and services to women outside of my immediate geographic area. I feel I have a voice that could genuinely help other women in a marketplace that is full of self-interest, poor recommendations and even predatory practices. I believe in simple, proven approaches that get results.
