What I love about being over 40 is the wisdom I have gained from difficult experiences. I have gained resiliency from the more challenging times and used my knowledge to give others hope through my work as a psychotherapist. I greatly enjoy the sense of peace from understanding my values and what is important in life. I prioritize self-care more than ever before and consider it part of my job description as a people-helper. I also love seeing my daughters excel, bloom, and grow.
How do you stay fabulous?Haha, staying fabulous? I focus on getting beauty sleep, eating well, and staying hydrated-- there's always a glass of water within reach! I treat myself with skincare, nature walks, and warm baths. When I'm not doing that, I am probably journaling or playing piano, singing, painting, or baking. I also enjoy creating efficient systems for my business and planning for the week ahead. I try to keep a positive attitude and a sense of humor about things as well.
What would you do with the $40,000?With $40,000, I would invest in key areas of my life and business. I would begin by allocating a portion to my daughters' college funds. I'd also delegate a portion to paying down my mortgage and enhancing my retirement investments. For my business, I would hire developers to create a mental health app focused on anxiety and complex trauma recovery, expanding access to vast resources. Lastly, I would contribute to local mental health initiatives to support those in need.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Fab Over 40, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
