Now that I am over 40, I can witness the astonishing outcomes from my past actions. I have seen my family tree grow, my career grow, and my marriage blossom. Before I reached 40, I had already been a mother of 3, duel certified family & emergency nurse practitioner, SANE nurse, and deputy Coroner. Now, I can see those in my life respect and admire the woman that I have become. I have witnessed my son become a father and learned that love is unconditional. I am proud to be a wife, mother, & Mimi.

I always feel there is room for self improvement & I never settle after I reach a goal. I have played a pivotal role in the nurse practitioner evolvement in our small rural town. I obtained a doctorate of nursing and the first family & emergency nurse practitioner at our hospital. I am proud to encourage growth in our community. My community has made staggering medical advancement throughout the past years. I help those who I see my young self in, to grow into someone they will be proud of

With the $40,000, I would give half to our rural hospital’s breast cancer campaign. I would give the remaining winnings to my children. My two sons are electrical and instrumentation technicians who have recently started their own families and my daughter has been a registered nurse in our hospital’s intensive care unit for a year and recently started Nurse Practitioner school at just 22 years old. I would love to help my children as they are starting their adult lives so that they may prosper.
