Age obviously brings its invariable creaks and aches, but there are so many fun ways to stay healthy. The wealth of wisdom I’ve gained over the past 5 decades affords me so much to give back. I’ve seen so much change in the world and learning to roll with it, to grow with it, makes me a new person every day. As a counselor, my opportunity to share that empowerment with others is invaluable.
How do you stay fabulous?I try to eat healthy…I’m vegan, but unfortunately so are almost all forms of Oreos and potato chips! I love walking in good weather, and this year I’ve gotten excited about working out using a VR headset. SO much more fun than the various gyms I’ve “donated” to over the years. Keeping up with pop culture is also important at my age; yes, I’ve got my favorite music and films from the 80’s, but keeping a finger on what’s new helps keep me fresh and excited.
What would you do with the $40,000?Something for my amazing adult children, something for my strong, supportive parents. Something for my community, supporting local animal rescue, and something memorable and adventurous for myself and my husband. Also, for the past 5 years, I’ve been blackmailed by my Maine Coon, paying him off so he doesn’t release the damning photos that look like I make him sleep in undersized Tupperware. Guess I should make a balloon payment and hope he gives me the negatives.
