What I love most about being over 40, is FREEDOM! As a person with a mental disability, I’ve struggled to measure up. But after renewing my faith in Christ, and finding a new treatment for my mental and emotional health, I’m really starting to live a joyful life for the first time. I do pet sitting for additional income as my disability permits, and find it rewarding, caring for other people’s pets. I’m able to travel to Hawaii several times a year to housesit for my family as well. Freedom!
How do you stay fabulous?Staying fabulous means eating healthy, and staying active. Pet sitting allows me to walk people’s dogs, and that helps get me out of the house, enjoying life. I also love swimming, so I do that for exercise as well. I also attend church and a Womens Bible Study and it helps keep me grounded and in God’s word. I find doing community outreach a way to contribute to society as well.
What would you do with the $40,000?If I won $40,000 I would put a new roof on my mother’s house, of whom which I live with as well. She’s 84 and we can’t afford it. The rest of the money I would put in a savings account for household repairs to make sure that my mother is cared for in her old age. I will not be putting her into a care home, I will be caring for her myself until it’s her time. Of course we might go out to a special dinner or maybe on a trip somewhere but something affordable.
