I absolutely love the clarity and indifference that come with being over 40. I have experienced enough to know how I want to spend and what I desire in the remainder of my life. I feel free to be my unapologetic self; where most of my life I felt limited by societal norms and opinions of others.
How do you stay fabulous?I have learned to balance my life in a way to reduce stress and optimize function. Physical activity in the form of walking, hiking local trails, stretching, and pilates are my current activities. I also make time for self care, which includes grooming and shopping but also, time in nature. I meditate, read inspirational text and practice gratitude and mindfulness daily. I recently took a huge risk and switched careers to reduce stress in my life and spend quality time with my children.
What would you do with the $40,000?With mental health disorders on the rise, I have been wanting to utilize my background to start a new business focusing on wellness training for individuals with depression.
