I’ve been living with lupus for most of my adult life. Now at 55, I need a kidney transplant. But I’m still fabulous and I love my life.

I love having a wealth of knowledge about a million things. I love not caring what people think about me. I love being able to make a decision quickly and decisively. I love knowing what I like and don’t like. Life is easy despite all my medical struggles.
How do you stay fabulous?I take good care of myself. I walk 3 miles a day. I pamper myself every chance I get. I travel whenever possible, and I expose myself to all kinds of life experiences.
What would you do with the $40,000?Firstly, I would rejoice that I would have money to pay expenses that Medicare won’t cover for my transplant. After that, I would donate money to the MS Society in honor of my late wife and to Planned Parenthood to support women’s health.
