As an EA, a single mom, a daughter and a sister, I’ve always believed in self care first. Being 40 means I made it and can do anything!
We would like to thank you for supporting Melissa Delgado in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
I love how authentic I feel as a mother and a woman. Life’s challenges have made me a more versatile person, able to understand and connect with all ages of people. I’m comfortable with my body, my successes and failures, and my love for people is the same. I enjoy what life has to offer more now because I have a deeper appreciation for it.
How do you stay fabulous?I stay true to myself, and I am flexible with life’s changes. I’m good to people and I try to enjoy all the good moments, to the fullest. Self care is essential, and I encourage others to be the same, by way of example. Being good to yourself and to others is a verb, and keeps you fabulous.
What would you do with the $40,000?With this money, I would give myself a small rest bite with my son- a small vacation for mommy and son time, but also self care time. I would then enroll us both in healthy paid activities- yoga, a sport, an annual meal membership and a gym membership for us to partake in together. With the rest of the money, I would invest it in creating items for children and women’s empowerment. I would start an account, similar to Etsy, with items sold that are geared towards helping mothers and children.
