Being in my 40’s has been a roller coaster but I’m still thriving! During this time I got out of an unhealthy marriage, was diagnosed with leukemia, survived potential liver failure and I’m still here smiling. I have a 10 year old daughter who I adore and who keeps me on my toes and an amazing group of loved ones who have been by my side the entire time. Being 40 means being confident in yourself and being able to listen and trust your heart and gut when things get rough.
How do you stay fabulous?I take care of myself by being around loving people who make me laugh and smile. Since I am immune compromised, I haven’t been able to do all the fun things I usually do to take care of myself. However recently I got a massage, my post chemo hair colored and my lashes done! It’s the little things you can do to help you feel more like yourself.
What would you do with the $40,000?If I was lucky enough to win 40k, I would pay down medical bills and help supplement my income as a single parent. Since my diagnosis, I have been unable to work for the past year and a half.
