So much to love about being over 40! There's a "freedom" in knowing who I am and what matters most to me in life. And, in caring less about what others think about my choices! I love the acceptance that comes with age: Acceptance of one's body, one's attributes and frailties. It's over 40 when we start to realize that life is finite and it's time to do whatever the heck makes us happy! Sometimes that’s self-care and exploration; other times it’s making a real difference in others’ lives.
How do you stay fabulous?It first starts with loving myself! Staying fabulous by eating healthy foods, taking walks, socializing with people I love, and laughing A LOT, especially at myself! It's traveling, exploring new adventures, cooking delicious meals for friends, and dressing with unmatched flare ... while also coveting time for quiet introspection. I have a fabulous 40-year career providing political strategy for candidates (I'm still going strong). Age is just a number. I'm as fabulous as ever at age 66!
What would you do with the $40,000?I would do two things with the winnings: First, I'd take my daughter, Bella, on a trip to Italy, where our family emigrated from in the 1930's. Bella is a Physician Assistant at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis and works long hours caring for children with cancer. I would love to give her a vacation of a lifetime to enjoy Italian culture, beautiful surroundings and delicious food! I would use the remaining money to help Bella pay down her student loans. What a blessing that would be!
