What do you love about being over 40?

My age has fostered my independence- I’m at a point where I stand up for myself and others, and know when to not fight petty battles. It’s also allowed me to bring my career to a point which is productive and I’m concentrating on projects and ideas which are of highest personal interest, and also with greatest impact on others. I am also a cancer survivor and know I can conquer anything!

How do you stay fabulous?

I took up dance classes online during COVID which is something I hadn’t done formally since childhood (currently working on Latin and lyrical). I lift weights regularly and am studying for my strength coach certification so I can help others in this area as well. love fashion and am known to have the best conference shoes 😅 I am a firm believer in manual therapy and see a bodywork specialist regularly.

What would you do with the $40,000?

At least half of the prize money would be donated. Most of the donated money would go towards initiatives to help LGBTQ+ athletes. I also would take part to help out residents/fellow attend conferences/continuing education- I worked in the Sports PT world and I know it’s a struggle to fund these opportunities. Lastly, I would travel to South America and bring my family- we have relatives in Argentina we’ve never met!
