People always tell me I don't look like my age. I like that. I like the freedom that comes with the age. I have learned to love and take care of myself. I am a divorced parent in a country where there is no child support and the oldest siblings in my family. I used to put the needs of other people, my children, and siblings & extended family before my own needs. Since I got diagnosed with cancer in 2016 & double mastectomy in 2020, I decided to put myself 1st. I love my freedom. Free at last!
How do you stay fabulous?I read a lot. I write ✍️ and recite poetry in French and Creole in the Haïtian community. Currently, I have my own podcast, " MAPS LIVE pour un moment de poésie avec la poétesse de Petit-Goâve. ". Petit-Goâve is my hometown in Haïti, and I like being the "Maya Angelous" of my town. My podcast is live each Sunday @4:00 PM. Currently I have 420 followers. I am building my community slowly but surely. Litterature & poetry keep me staying fabulous.
What would you do with the $40,000?I will publish my poetry books, re-publish my father novel, "Seraphita ou Miracle à Nan Tonan", and paid 2 scholarships for 2 kids in Haïti, who desesperatly need to go to school but their parent can't afford to pay the last school year. I used to help them but I honestly cannot do it since I am in disability after my surgery. It breaks my💔, but I have learned to take care of myself first. If some 💰 left, will repair my apartment & travel to 🇫🇷, 🇨🇦 🍁 🇷🇼 & Haïti for a book signing tour
