I've lived many times over and have had so many downs that made me stronger, wiser and more confident in myself. Joining the USAF at 18 in a male dominated career field was the first of many hard things I've done in my life. Life will always have its ups and downs but having the belief in myself to overcome hard things still makes me proud to have lived the life I have. I am far from perfect but I stand tall and know I am proud to be 50 and Fabulous. Never regret doing the hard things.
How do you stay fabulous?Staying fabulous is an ongoing effort for sure. I ran my first and only marathon in my forties, I've gained and lost 30 pounds multiple times and even now I'm still trying to lose those last stubborn pounds. As a mama of a HS senior is not for the weak and continuing to be someone he can count on while wanting to see him leave the nest to become a successful, happy man is hard. Eating right is a high priority in my house to stay healthy so I can be around to be a part of my son's future.
What would you do with the $40,000?That seems like such a loaded question; it is a lot of money and it isn't. I don't think I would use it pay bills or anything. With my son graduating this year, I would probably use the money to help pay for his graduation party. We live away from all family and having them come to help celebrate this milestone would mean a lot to him and us. He came into our lives at 4 days old with 2 hours notice, he changed my life and is the best thing about my life.
