We would like to thank you for supporting Mandy Shoptaw in this year's competition. Your support helps us contribute to the National Breast Cancer Foundation who provides early detection, education, and support services to those affected by breast cancer.
At this age, my family is more independent and so I can explore my passion for travel; being in a wonderful marriage with a supportive husband because family is at the heart of all I do; being surrounded by people who pour positivity into one another and having the wisdom to eliminate toxicity; knowing what sparks my creativity and empowering other women to find their passions; the gym and therapy are tools for staying healthy and strong in body and mind.
How do you stay fabulous?I love the saying that you need to fill your cup so you can pour into others— I make an effort, be it with my friends or strangers, to look for a way to give something back. Maybe that’s a compliment in the drive through that someone has a calming voice, telling a female colleague how much you valued her idea in a meeting, or showing support on social media. We can all do our part to change the world just by being kind.
What would you do with the $40,000?In 2023, our home was touched by an EF3 tornado. Our backyard oasis was destroyed and we are in the process of rebuilding. Gardening and family time are importance in centering us so I would want to continue to make needed improvements. I would also like to take a writer’s retreat and compile my late grandmother’s memoirs into book form. Writing a book or screenplay is a bucket list item!
