Magdalene Lima-Fiallos

I love that I have the benefit of developing my emotional, mental and spiritual health over the years. I have practiced as a Speech Language Pathologist in the area of Pediatrics for over 35 years and I love training and mentoring the next generation by passing on my knowledge and experience. I have also been an artist on the side for 30 years and I have learned and grown in my creative practice over the years. I am more loving and accepting of myself than any other time in my life.

I’m committed to improving my lifestyle and healthy habits. I walk the dogs each morning, do strength training 2-3 times weekly and food prep healthy meals. I have a morning practice of prayer journaling, bible study and my daily planner. These practices help me keep a positive mindset to overcome challenges and reach goals. I am active in Women’s ministry, choir and lead an Art as Worship group at my church. I have women friend groups to share love and support.

I would definitely invest in my creative practice and Art business. As I transition from a career in Speech Pathology into my retirement years, my dream is to make sharing my Art legacy with the world a priority. I have so many ideas like entering and attending more juried art fairs, hiring a licensing agent, offering art retreats and workshops and having more time to create. I am known for bold splashes of color, unfettered mark making and art that touches the viewer and lights up a room.
