What do you love about being over 40?

For the first time I am comfortable in my own skin. Losing my legs taught me just how strong I am and that if I could come out on the other side of that, then I can do anything. Being over 40 is a gift. I see the world through the lense of experience and I tackle each day with new found hope. Most of all I love that I have learned from my past and that I have a voice to share so I can help others.

How do you stay fabulous?

Mentally, I stay fabulous by being social and informed. I find people fascinating and always enjoy a good conversation. There is always an opportunity to learn around every corner and I take it whenever I can. Physically, I am learning how to walk with my prosthetics and that is a hard road, but now that I don’t have problem feet I can wear all the fabulous shoes I want. I also adore Coach handbags and jewelry. Every woman should have nice shoes and great matching bags…oh and jewelry.

What would you do with the $40,000?

First and foremost, in order to attain my most important goal of becoming a health advocate I need to be able to travel. The prize money would allow me to purchase a vehicle with hand controls in order to get out and be a face and voice for women’s health. Last, as I regain my ability to walk, my luxury bucket list item is a Greek island tour.
