What do you love about being over 40?

I love that I have become stronger and more self-confident. This has taken many years for me to achieve but with perseverance, I have attained what I thought was unobtainable. I have found that I can overcome adversity and bounce back with dignity and grace. Anyone can accomplish anything if they have determination and a strong drive pushing them forward. I thrive on being inspirational to women of all ages. It gives me immense satisfaction helping them gain self confidence.

How do you stay fabulous?

I was in terrible mental and physical shape seven years ago. My daughter is the one who essentially saved me. I joined the gym to help cope with the mental/emotional stress I was enduring. I was delighted to find that not only did it help me mentally, it drastically changed me physically. I eat a healthy, strict diet and workout four days a week for 1 1/2 hours. The biggest perk is helping other women, young and old, learn how to achieve their goals in the gym. It’s extremely rewarding!

What would you do with the $40,000?

I would take my daughter on a vacation in Hawaii for being my inspiration and hero. If it weren’t for her, I don’t know what I would have become. I would donate heavily to my local shelter for battered women. God bless them, one and all. I would take my three sons on a family vacation to our hometown, Hermosa Beach, California. These fellas are my rocks—no—my boulders! I haven’t been able to do this in years and would like at least one more awesome, memorable vacation with my amazing sons!
